The Grammy-Nominated Austin Guitar Quartet is made up of Dr. Chad Ibison, Dr. Janet Grohovac, Stephen Krishnan, and Dragos Ilie. Based in the live music capital known worldwide for its thriving guitar scene, the group embodies Austin's love of live concerts, new music, and the guitar. In 2020 they were featured on The Singing Guitar, an album with Conspirare, Los Angeles Guitar Quartet and Texas Guitar Quartet. The album received a Grammy Nomination for Best Choral Performance (Listen on Spotify / Apple Music), peaked at #15 on the classical Billboard charts, and was listed in the Chicago Tribune’s “Best Classical Recordings of 2020”. They have been featured by Austin Classical Guitar, The Contemporary Austin at Laguna Gloria, and recently accompanied Ballet Austin in a performance of Steve Reich’s Electric Counterpoint.
